Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak (BHRO) is a non-profit, acute care teaching hospital located in Royal Oak, Michigan, with 1131 beds.

It is a nationally ranked facility that provides tertiary care and healthcare services to the Royal Oak region and Metro Detroit. BHRO is the flagship facility of the Beaumont Health System and is affiliated with the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine as the primary teaching affiliate.

The hospital is an American College of Surgeons verified Level 1 Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with an on-site helipad to transport critically ill patients from within the region. According to U.S. News & World Report, BHRO is the #2 best hospital in Michigan after University of Michigan Hospital.

The hospital opened in January 1955 and was originally known as William Beaumont Hospital. In 1997, two Detroit Red Wings players and their team massage therapist were taken to BHRO after a limousine crash. While some suffered injuries, they all made full recoveries.
