Mayo Clinic Arizona
The Mayo Clinic Arizona is a short-term acute care hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. It is an out-of-state campus of the original Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and opened in June 1987.
The hospital offers a wide range of services including inpatient and outpatient care, teaching, and research. The Mayo Clinic Arizona also has an associated Scottsdale campus, which provides outpatient services and is home to an Arizona branch of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.
In 2018, the Mayo Clinic announced a $648 million expansion called Arizona.Bold.Forward. to nearly double the size of its Phoenix campus by 2024.
This expansion includes the expansion of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine which added a four-year medical school class to the Mayo Clinic Arizona campus in 2017. The hospital provides a wide range of services such as a clinical laboratory, diagnostic imaging, emergency room, inpatient care to support the medical and surgical specialties, lung testing, non-invasive heart tests, and an organ transplant center.
The Mayo Clinic Arizona is a member of the University of California Cancer Consortium and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
