Stanford Cancer Institute
The Stanford Cancer Institute is a comprehensive cancer center located at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. It is one of eight such centers in the state, and it was first designated as a clinical cancer center in 2007 before receiving its comprehensive designation in 2016. The Institute has over 400 faculty members and treats adult patients at the Stanford Cancer Center.
The Institute is also a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and in 2017, a center was created as part of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy with a $10 million donation from the Parker Foundation. Additionally, a donation from Jeffrey Rothschild established the Stanford Center for Cancer Cell Therapy which supports research into the development of immunological-based treatments for cancer.
