UF Health Cancer Center at Orlando Health

Orlando Health is a private, not-for-profit network of community and specialty hospitals based in Orlando, Florida. The system was founded in 1918, starting with the opening of Orange General Hospital.

Over the years, the hospital name changed to Orange Memorial Hospital, the hospital became approved as a teaching hospital, and it consolidated with other hospitals to form the Orlando Regional Medical Center. In 1992, the organization changed its corporate name to Orlando Regional Healthcare System, and in 1999, it purchased Lucerne Hospital.

In 2008, the system was rebranded to change the corporate name of the organization from Orlando Regional Healthcare to Orlando Health. As of 2020, the system includes the Orlando Regional Medical Center, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, and UF Health Cancer Center, which are grouped together on the main campus of Orlando Health. The organization is Central Florida’s fourth largest employer with nearly 23,000 employees and more than 4,500 affiliated physicians.
