About Andreas Saltos

Dr. Andreas Saltos is a Medical Oncologist and the Clinical Research Medical Director in the Department of Thoracic Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Saltos obtained his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, followed by an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He then moved to Tampa, where he completed a Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and Moffitt Cancer Center.

Dr. Saltos specializes in the treatment of thoracic malignancies, including all forms and stages of lung cancer. In his clinical practice, he aims to provide patients with the best and most tailored treatments to their specific cancer and individual needs.

Dr. Saltos is also dedicated to research and is currently focusing on clinical research in order to find better treatments for lung cancer, including new strategies for targeted therapy and immunotherapy. He is currently leading and developing several clinical trials investigating new drugs or treatment combinations that target the specific genetic features of lung cancer or that recruit the immune system to combat the cancer. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, and has completed Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at University of South Florida Moffitt Cancer Center.
