Dr. M. Chris Dobelbower is a radiation oncologist with areas of interest in lung, breast, gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), head & neck, and sarcoma. He practices at the Hazelrig Salter Radiation Oncology Center located at 1700 6th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233.

He received his B.S. from The Ohio State University in 1990, his M.S. from The Ohio State University in 1993, his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1997, and his M.D. from Medical College of Ohio in 2002. He completed his internship at St. Vincent's and St. Charles hospitals in 2003 and his residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2003-2007. He received ABR certification in 2008.

He has received several awards and honors, including the 2020 ABR Voluntary Service Award, the 2018 Patient Experience Excellence Award and the 2015 Early fellowship in American College of Radiation Oncology.
