Dr. Eugene A. Choi is a board-certified surgical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of various types of gastrointestinal cancers including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, soft tissue sarcomas, gastrointestinal tumors (GIST), melanoma, and peritoneal surface malignancies (mesothelioma). He is also a member of a multi-disciplinary cancer care team who works closely with medical and radiation oncology specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients.

Dr.Choi's research focuses on the mechanisms of solid tumor cancer metastasis and the development of new drug therapies. He graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, completed a general surgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he also served as administrative chief resident. He also completed a surgical oncology research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and a surgical oncology clinical fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He held a faculty appointment in the section of general surgery and surgical oncology at the University of Chicago.
