About Jeremiah L. Deneve

Dr. Jeremiah Deneve is a specialist in general surgery and surgical oncology. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and has a fellowship training with clinical and research interest in the treatment and management of peritoneal malignancies. He also has interest in treating gastric, pancreatic, hepatobiliary and colon malignancies, as well as soft tissue sarcoma and melanoma.

He sits on the Occult Primary Malignancy Panel of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and is the Cancer Liaison Physician for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer in affiliation with Methodist Healthcare and West Cancer Center.

Dr. Deneve also serves as an Associate Professor with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Surgery. He is actively involved in teaching at UTHSC and is the site director for the Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Methodist University Hospital and the Clerkship Director for the M3 Medical Students for UTHSC. He also treats certain pediatric malignancies in collaboration with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dr Deneve participates in clinical trial enrollment at West Cancer Center and with the Southwest Oncology Group and has an interest in clinical research and outcomes. He has published on various malignancy related topics and his research has been presented at several national meetings and published in peer-review journals.

Dr. Deneve is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Association for Academic Surgery, the Southwestern Surgical Congress, Southeastern Surgical Congress and the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.
