About Kiran Turaga
Dr. Kiran Turaga is a leading expert in the field of surgical oncology, with a focus on the management of oligometastatic cancer. He is the Division Chief of Surgical Oncology at Yale Cancer Center and Assistant Medical Director for the Clinical Trials Office. Dr. Turaga is an expert in the use of regional perfusion techniques such as hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) to target and eliminate cancer cells that may remain after surgery.
Dr. Turaga received his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and also holds a Master of Public Health degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He is board-certified in surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Turaga's research focuses on developing novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for oligometastatic cancer and is currently leading several clinical trials exploring the intersection of immunotherapy and liquid biopsy in the surgical management of cancer. He is also interested in the use of big data systems to improve patient care and cost-effectiveness.
