About Konstantinos Votanopoulos

Dr. Konstantinos Votanopoulos is a surgical oncologist who practices at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is part of a network of over 2,000 physicians at more than 300 locations that serve 24 counties in northwest North Carolina and southwest Virginia.

Dr. Votanopoulos specializes in conditions such as colorectal cancer, mesothelioma, and sarcoma. He offers treatments such as cytoreductive surgery, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), lymph node surgery, and soft tissue sarcoma surgery.

Dr. Votanopoulos received his MD from Aristotle University School of Medicine in 1996 and his PhD from the University of Athens in 2014. He completed residencies in general surgery at the University of Athens and Baylor University Medical Center, and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. He holds the position of Professor of Surgical Sciences - Oncology and Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
