About Laura A. Lambert

Dr. Laura Lambert is a professor of surgery and director of the Peritoneal Malignancy Program at the University of Utah. She specializes in the surgical treatment of peritoneal carcinomatosis and gastrointestinal oncology.

Dr. Lambert earned her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed her general surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and a fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She is also certified in hospice and palliative medicine.

Dr. Lambert joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 2018 and focuses on the use of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) and the surgeon's role in comprehensive palliative care. She can be found at Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT.
