About Lynn D. Wilson
Lynn Wilson, MD, MPH, is the Vice Chairman and Clinical Director of the Therapeutic Radiology Department at Yale Medicine. He specializes in caring for patients with cutaneous lymphoma and breast cancer at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.
As a board-certified radiation oncologist, Dr. Wilson's primary goal is to successfully treat his patients while minimizing side effects from radiation treatment, which he believes can be best achieved through multidisciplinary collaboration among specialists. Dr. Wilson and his team have also been able to provide substantial pain relief (palliative care) through specialized techniques, enhancing the quality of life for patients.
Dr. Wilson is also a professor of therapeutic radiology and dermatology, he studies outcomes and treatment-related factors for patients receiving care for cutaneous lymphoma, lung and breast cancers. His research has revealed that there may be disparities in clinical outcomes for cutaneous lymphoma based on race, and he is working to understand why this is the case so that he can address these issues for his patients.
Dr. Wilson is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Radiology and the American Society for Radiation Oncology. He completed his MD at George Washington University, MPH at Yale University School of Medicine and his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
