Dr. Rama Balaraman is a medical oncologist and hematologist, with expertise in treating a wide range of cancer types. She completed her medical education at Thanjavur Medical College in India, and went on to complete an internship in Sydney, Australia. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Mary's Health Center, affiliated with St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. Dr. Balaraman also completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Missouri in Columbia and Launceston General Hospital and Holman Clinic Australia.

She is board certified in both Hematology and Medical Oncology, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr. Balaraman is also a member of professional organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
