About Ravi Salgia

Ravi Salgia M.D., Ph.D. is the Arthur & Rosalie Kaplan Chair in Medical Oncology at City of Hope's comprehensive cancer center. He is a renowned expert in the field, having served as a professor and chair of the Department of Medical Oncology & Therapeutics Research at the University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center prior to joining City of Hope.

He holds a Ph.D. and M.D. from Loyola University and has completed fellowships in neurochemistry, psychiatry, medical oncology, and post-graduate training in internal medicine.

Dr. Salgia is board-certified in medical oncology, and has a wealth of research experience, receiving grants from the National Institutes of Health, and publishing over 550 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, and editorials, three books, and over 30 book chapters. He serves on various panels for the National Cancer Institute and is the recipient of several honors and awards. Dr. Salgia is also on the board of directors for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
