About Robert Ramirez
Dr. Robert Ramirez is a medical oncologist with a focus on the treatment of thoracic and neuroendocrine malignancies. He holds a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. He then completed a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tennessee, where he served as chief fellow.
Dr. Ramirez is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of various professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS). He is active in clinical trial design and has a specific interest in neuroendocrine tumors of the lung. He has served as a teaching faculty at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center and Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, and has given numerous lectures for patients and the scientific community.
