About Stacey Su

Dr. Stacey Su is the Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery, Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Oncology, and Director of the Thoracic Oncology Fellowship Training Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She specializes in the surgical treatment of esophageal diseases and cancers in the chest, as well as complex benign chest wall conditions. Her expertise includes both traditional open surgical procedures and minimally invasive thoracic surgical approaches.

Dr. Su joined the Fox Chase Cancer Center team in 2011 because of its focus on cutting-edge research and its commitment to improving cancer treatments and the quality of life for patients. She is a proponent of a team approach to cancer care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of doctors to guide patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Su is also involved in research, collaborating with scientists to discover more effective therapies for lung and esophageal cancers. Through the Fox Chase Cancer Center Partners Program, she is also bringing clinical trials and more treatment options to the community.

Dr. Su received her MD from the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine and completed her residency in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She also completed fellowships in thoracic surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and is a member of several professional societies.
