About Thierry M. Jahan
Dr. Thierry M. Jahan is a highly respected medical oncologist known for his expertise in the treatment of thoracic malignancies, including lung cancer and mesothelioma, as well as soft tissue sarcomas. He received his M.D. from George Washington University and completed his residency and internal medicine residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He later completed a clinical fellowship in hematology and oncology at UCSF and joined the faculty there. He is the co-founder of the Thoracic Oncology Program at UCSF.
Dr. Jahan is known for his compassion and empathy towards his patients and their families, and is committed to finding effective treatments for lung cancer. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including the Medical House Staff Outstanding Teacher Award and the Friend of the Palliative Care Service Award. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC).
Dr. Jahan has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and research abstracts, and is frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences on lung cancer and mesothelioma.
