About Timothy Scott Blackwell
Dr. Timothy S. Blackwell is a Professor of Medicine and the Rudy W. Jacobson Chair in Pulmonary Medicine at the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and the Center for Lung Research. He is also a Professor of Medicine and Cell and Developmental Biology.
Dr. Blackwell is the Director of the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and the Center for Lung Research. He completed his education at the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he earned his MD in 1988. He then completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital in 1989 and his residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital in 1991. After that, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care at Vanderbilt in 1995.
