About W. Charles Conway

Dr. William Charles Conway, II is a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist who recently joined the medical staff at the Ridley-Tree Cancer Center in Santa Barbara, California. He completed his medical education at Wayne State University in Detroit and went on to complete a General Surgery residency at Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center. During this time, Dr. Conway spent a year in a translational research laboratory studying colon cancer cellular adhesion.

He then entered the surgical oncology fellowship program at the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, CA, where he received focused training in the treatment of gastroesophageal, liver and pancreas cancers.

He then accepted a position at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, LA where he practiced for 8 years. Dr. Conway will continue to focus on multidisciplinary care for patients with gastroesophageal, hepatic and pancreatic tumors in his current practice at the Ridley-Tree Cancer Center.
